چکیده

A 61-day growth experiment was carried out to evaluate the potential of a poultry-based protein (PBP) comprising feather meal (FeM) and poultry meat bone (PMBM), as fishmeal (FM) substitute in diets juvenile pikeperch (Sander lucioperca, L.). Pikeperch (initial body weight 113.12 g) were randomly distributed groups 250 fish twelve 1.8 m3 circular recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) tanks, fed four isonitrogenous (52% crude protein), isolipidic (17% lipid), isocaloric (21.80 KJ/g energy) experimental diets. The feeds contained FM primary source (PBP0) or PBP replacing 20 (PBP20), 40 (PBP40), 60% (PBP60) FM. Based on appetite calculated uneaten feed, feeding rate initially set at 1.5% subsequently reduced 1% total tank biomass towards end study. At experiment, average feed intake ranged from 1.93 2.00 g/fish/day (p > 0.05). No adverse effects efficiency observed PBP0, PBP20, PBP40. Particularly, final (FBW) (248.73, 240.11 g), conversion ratio (FCR) (0.86, 0.91), specific (SGR) (1.29, 1.35%/day), (PER) (2.20, 2.12) PBP20 PBP40 not significantly different control PBP0 whose values 248.11 g, 0.89, 1.27%/day, 2.18, respectively In all treatments, condition factor (k) (1.31 1.33), hepatosomatic index (HSI) (2.35 2.70%), visceral somatic (VSI) (6.87 7.19%), whole-body composition (57.77–58.28%) lipid (23.85–26.85%) influenced by dietary inclusion level However, ash content higher PBP60 (14.66%) compared other treatments (12.57–14.43%) < results this study, up 40% can be replaced for juveniles without compromising performance utilization.

Principles of pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) larviculture

Pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) is a species with high nutritional, ecological and commercial values which is endemic in Iran, but its natural stocks are endangered during recent years. Therefore, Iranian Fisheries Organization as the main responsible organization for preservation of aquatic natural stocks of the country planned to stock rehabilitation of this species since 1989. This program had...

Species richness and diversity of the parasites of two predatory fish species - perch (Perca fluviatilis Linnaeus, 1758) and zander (Sander lucioperca Linnaeus, 1758) from the Pomeranian Bay.

Pomeranian Bay as an ecotone is a transition zone between two different biocenoses, which is characterized by an increase in biodiversity and species density. Therefore, Pomeranian Bay is a destination of finding and reproductive migrations of fish from the rivers entered the area. The aim of the study was to compare parasitic fauna of two predatory fish species from the Pomeranian Bay, collect...

Efficacy of different anaesthetics for pikeperch (Sander lucioperca L.) in relation to water temperature.

OBJECTIVES The objectives of the study were to compare the different doses of clove oil, Propiscin, and tricaine methane sulphonate (MS 222) in relation to water temperature in pikeperch aquaculture. DESIGN For assessment of this experiment 168 fish (10.77 ± 0.59 cm total body length and 7.88 ± 1.74 g body weight) were used. Three different anaesthetic treatments (Propiscin, clove oil and MS ...

Sperm morphology, ultrastructure, and motility in pikeperch Sander lucioperca (Percidae, Teleostei) associated with various activation media

Spermatozoa morphology, ultrastructure, and spermatozoa motility traits were studied in pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) after activation in various media (AM 1 – 45mM NaCl, 5mM KCl, 20mM Tris, pH 8.5; AM 2 – 100mM sucrose, 20mM Tris, pH 8.5; AM 3 – 100mM sucrose, 1mM CaCl2, 20mM Tris, pH 8.5) during a 48-hour storage period. The spermatozoon was acrosomeless and differentiated into a spherical nu...

Coastal and freshwater pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) populations differ genetically in the Baltic Sea basin.

Microsatellite DNA based analysis of the pattern of genetic diversity among three coastal and five freshwater populations of pikeperch Sander lucioperca in the northern part of the Baltic Sea drainage basin indicated marked genetic differentiation between the coastal and lake populations. The F(st) between these population groups was as high as 0.25 and R(st) =0.32. In general, the lake populat...
